CSC Surge

The Surge have been promoted to Division 2 of the Washington
Area Girls Soccer (WAGS) league. We expanded our
roster to 15 to accommodate playing 11v11 at U13,
but are still looking for one or two more.

We are professionally coached by Fernando Arias, who
holds a C license and has 20 years of experience
training and coaching elite players. We play year
round and compete in two tournaments per season.

We will hold try outs at our regular practice sessions posted
on this site’s calendar, although field and time changes are
possible in August. Please contact our team manager,
Kris Gubanich, at kgubanich@aol.com or 703-678-3556.

We are trying to find players and families that are a great fit
for our team. Our try out process will involve a technical
evaluation by coach Fernando over several sessions. This may
lead to a recommendation to our parent governance board and
then to our team manager to make an official offer. Acceptance
of an offer must be made in a few days and requires a signed
commitment letter and one-third of the fall fees. Players
that do not fit our team will be told as early as possible so
that they may pursue other opportunities. Questions and concerns
should be directed to our team manager, and coach Fernando
will be happy to provide feedback.

Interested players can join us at our weekly practices Tuesdays from 5:00pm to 6:30pm at Poplar Tree Park 2 (turf) and Saturdays from 10:30-12:00PM at Franklin MS to meet the team and be evaluated.
